Supporting Serve the City Locally & Globally
Katmandu; Port au Prince; Ryazan, Russia; Newport News. From San Paulo, Brazil in the south to Tallin, Estonia in the north and from La Paz, Mexico to Manila in the Philippines, Serve the City is truly a global movement, active in 60+ cities around the world, mobilizing volunteers to serve in simple ways - through home repair, yard work, gardening, meals, friendship, and more. As an organization we’re the connection between the good intentions of people who could serve and meaningful opportunities to get involved.
We're Dave & Cindy Hahne and we work with Serve the City globally, nationally, and locally. Globally, Dave works with the International Leadership Team as the Chief Operating Officer helping to create the resources that allow new cities to get started and enable existing cities to grow while keeping true to the vision of Serve the City. Nationally, Dave serves on the Board of Directors of Serve the City US, working to create a volunteering movement that can sweep the US like it has in Europe. Locally, Cindy is the City Leader for Serve the City Peninsula. She leads a team of volunteers from around the Peninsula in building transformational relationships in places like Newport News, Hampton, and York County. We do this through practical projects for the elderly, disabled, homeless, and others in need. Together we connect these three levels of Serve the City to make each one better and we’d love for you to be on our team, helping us to make a difference. You can do that by praying, giving, or volunteering.
